I recently moved Evans. How do I sign up for waste removal and recycling services?
If you are a new resident to the City and need to setup trash and recycling services, please contact Waste Management at 1-866-482-6319.
What is included in my waste removal service?
Residents will be provided the use of a 96 gallon rolling polycart. All your household waste MUST be contained inside the polycart provided. Any bags, additional cans or bulk items left outside of the polycart will not be removed every Tuesday (weekly pickup) unless prior arrangements are made for bulk pickup.
When is my waste/trash picked-up?
Trash removal occurs weekly on your designated service day.
Polycarts must be at the curbside by 7:00 a.m. on collection day and must be away from parked vehicles. Residents with alley stops must have polycart ouside of enclosures, accessible by the automated truck.
What do I do if my trash was not picked up?
Please contact Waste Management as soon as you can by calling 1-866-482-6319.
What is included in my recycling service?
Curbside recycling is available to residents of the City. Waste Management will provide a recycle bin to fill with newspaper, aluminum, steel cans, glass and plastic containers. Place the recycle bin next to your polycart and a recycle truck will remove your recyclables.
Residents have the option to utilize a 96-gallon wheeled recycling Tote vs the recycle bin. The cost to utilize the Tote is $3.00 per month, please contact Waste Management at 1-866-482-6319 to request recycle tote service. The recycle bin is provided at no additional monthly charge however, Waste Management requires a $20 deposit for the recycle bin. Again, if you have questions or would like to begin recycling, please call 1-866-482-6319.
When is recycling picked-up?
Recycle service is provided every-other week on your normal trash day which is Tuesday.
What about holidays?
The following holidays are observed:
- New Year's Day
- Memorial Day
- July 4th
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving Day
- Christmas Day
You may experience a one-day delay in your service during these holiday weeks.
What if I need additional and/or replacement polycarts?
If you need additional polycarts, contact Waste Management. A $4.00 per month fee will be charged for additional polycarts, but Waste Management requires that a one year advance payment of $48 be paid.

Please clean and rinse all recyclables. Please make sure all items fit and are placed in the recycle container provided.

• Used paper cups and paper plates
• Used paper towels and tissues

• Food-soiled cardboard
• Plates and dishes
*Unaccepted recyclable items are not limited to those above.
