The Building Permit and Inspection Division staff assures the public's health, safety, and welfare in the city's built environment, while facilitating construction and development. We accomplish this by maintaining building codes and ordinances, properly interpreting the City's building codes, conducting high quality plan reviews, and inspecting new building construction and renovation. Building safety is supported by the licensing of all businesses including general contractors that work within the city.
