In mid-2012 the Evans Police Department distributed a Request for Proposal (RFP) to solicit companies to conduct a comprehensive staffing and service-level analysis of all police services. The police department is the first city department to undertake this endeavor as a part of a larger strategic plan to assess the City’s strengths and to identify areas of improvement in providing services to our community.
The project was awarded to KRW Associates, LLC, a company with extensive experience and expertise in the area of staffing analysis. On January 15th, 2013 KRW Associates presented their findings to the Evans City Council in the form of a comprehensive report. The major components of the written report, including findings and recommendations, are available for viewing at the link below. A number of associated graphs, charts, and data-sets were not included in this online version, but may be reviewed by coming to the Evans Police Department and requesting to see a copy of the full report.
The next steps involve an in-depth evaluation of the findings and recommendations and the formulation of a strategic plan to improve our service levels to our community. If you have questions or comments regarding the findings, or the report itself, please contact Chief Rick Brandt at (970)339-2441.
