2.36.010 Participation declared. The city is a participant in the social security system, and the benefits of Old-Age and Survivor's Insurance is extended to its employees and officers. (Ord. 120-56)
2.36.020 Execution of agreement. The proper administrative officers of the city are authorized to execute and deliver to the State Department of Employment Security the plan and agreement required under the provisions of Section 5 of Chapter 237, 1957 Session Laws and the Social Security Act, to extend coverage to the employees and officers of this city, and to do all other things necessary to that end. 2.36.030 Authorization of payments. The proper officers are authorized to make all required payment into the contribution fund established by Section 6 of Chapter 237, 1957 Session Laws, and to establish such system of payroll deductions from salaries of officers and employees as may be necessary to their coverage under the Old-Age and Survivors' Insurance System. 2.36.040 Appropriations for contributions. The board of trustees of the city hereby appropriate from the proper fund or funds of the city the amounts necessary to pay into the contribution fund, as provided in Section 5(c)(1) of Chapter 237, 1957 Session Laws, and in accordance with the plan or plans and agreement. 2.36.050 Compliance agreement. The proper officials of the city shall do all things in accordance with the provisions contained in the plan and agreement necessary to the continued implementation of the Old-Age Survivors' Insurance System. (Ord. 120-56)
2.36.060 Effective date. The city is a participant in the social security system effective as of July 1, 1956. (Ord. 120-56)
