Welcome to the Evans Recreation Division home page. Through spirited service and can-do attitude, the City of Evans Department of Culture, Parks and Recreation provides quality and diverse recreational, cultural and fun opportunities, public facilities, trails, parks and the preservation of public lands and open spaces for all in a safe, clean, affordable, helpful, caring and friendly environment.

Monday - Thursday: 5:30 AM - 9:00 PM
Friday: 5:30 AM - 7:00 PM
Saturday & Sunday: 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Community Complex Amenities

The Evans Community Complex has the following amenities to offer:

Gymnasium	Large hardwood floor available for basketball, volleyball and more. Ability to break into two separate gymnasiums.
Dance Studio	Room specifically designed for dance. Wood laminate flooring and mirrors on walls.
Activity Room	Room for childcare, day camp, after school and toddler programs, and more.
Cardio/ Weight Room	Includes 11 stackable weight stations, 11 cardiovascular stations, Universal machine and dumbbells.
Multipurpose Rooms	Used for classes, meetings, receptions, special events, etc. Can accommodate up to 220 persons.
Kitchen	Used for classes, meetings, receptions, catering special events, etc.
Game Room	Includes pool table, foosball table and a big screen TV.
Lockers	Lockers are available either unlocked or locked with your own lock on a daily basis.
Rental Equipment	The Recreation Center has equipment such as volleyballs and basketballs for rent.

There is a 4 hour minimum on Saturday rentals.

Damage Deposits*

Alcohol (Class II & III) 4 hour maximum/must stop serving at 12:00 a.m.	$300
General (Class II & III)	$150 if no alcohol damage deposit. Negotiated for smaller rentals



Equipment Rental	TV, VCR, overhead projector, extension cords & screen maybe used if available

*Only one deposit of the highest fee will apply

Renters must supply their own easels, flip charts, markers and other writing utensils, paper goods, linens, flatware and dishes.

Reservation Fees

30 days up to 18 months in advance

$200 non-refundable (will be deducted from total rental fee) or full rental fee, whichever is less.

NOTE: All rentals are subject to direct staff service costs and damage repair costs, if any, in addition to the normal rental fee. All damage deposits are refundable (within 30 days of rental date) provided the facility is cleaned up and left in good condition - City staff to determine extent of refund issued based on resultant condition of facility. Conditions that may cause retention of damage deposit may include but are not limited to: spills and stains, scuff marks, any evidence of smoking, damaged tables, chairs, trash left in facility, tape/glue residue, marks/holes/chips on walls or ceilings, improper storage of City property, or vandalism. Cancellations occurring more than 30 days prior to the event, the reservation fee is retained by the City. Cancellations occurring less than 30 days prior to event, the reservation fee and total rental fees will be retained by the City. Exceptions may be made regarding cancellations in the event of snow storms or other severe weather events.

The Evans Community Complex is a non-smoking facility as per Chapter 8.18 of the Evans Municipal Code

Senior Services

The Evans Senior Center is located in the Evans Community Complex and has a variety of interesting, fun and educational activities for those 50 years and older. The Senior program is open to all those who wish to join no matter what community you live in. No membership dues are charged. Any age can attend the Federal Lunch Program on Tuesdays. Several trips are offered throughout the year. Information can be obtained by calling the Senior Coordinator at 475-1131.
